New version 2.0 after a period of post covid chip shortages and then updates for extra features that took longer than anticipated. We now have limited stock of these with more to arrive week1 May2024.
The new version includes the ability to perform software updates via the OBDII port (so you do not need to remove the translator anymore). There is also an android app that works with an ELM327 bluetooth-OBDii module that shows data of the module for diagnostics and allows setup of a few custom parameters.
Due to our current high demand/workload and the anticipated sales, these may take a week or two to dispatch.
These translator boards allow you to fit a V8 (Coyote or GM LS) or Barra engine into the PX1/PX2 Ranger series. The translator boards plug into the original 3.2ltr (or similar) diesel ECU plugs, so there is minimal wiring needed to be done on the Ranger, it simply plugs in.
The translators work by converting electrical signals from the Ranger (digital/analog/Canbus) to signals of the new engine system and vice versa. This allows the engine to run in the ranger as if it was a factory fitted item, with all gauges and controls and safety features working.
A custom harness is needed to be made from the 3rd translator plug and the new engine harness. We will eventually be offering these harnesses through one of our wiring partners for various combinations, providing a full plug and play solution. In the meantime it is recomended to use a local auto electriction familiar with wiring up your engine of choice. We can supply just the translator, or can also supply a range of new plugs that will allow you to plug into the ranger harness without modification
